It makes some pretty weird noises which used to be higher. I took it to school, and it worked there perfectly, but today I brought it back and now, it just does not work. On my way back home it was raining, can this be the cause? My Wii U was in my backpack

Try dumping it with wudd. Mabe it works better if it is rading sequentially.
Also maybe its possible that inside the backpack some debris got inside it and is restricting the laser from moving all the way.
