Review Approach:

Now i love Rougelike/lite games but something about this one stuck out for me. Perhaps its because i was looking for dungeon creator style game for a little while now. Tried a few before and they were either microtransaction filled or boring. But this bridges the gap between my favorite genres. turn based, rouge style, Simulation, and Humorous. So when my boy Kris Bennet hits me up and tells me that there is this cool game thats a dungeon management game. I gotta try it. I grab my code and download the game. At first it looked like a mobile game but i quickly figured out that there wasn't any microtransactions and that it was really fun!
Legends of Keepers is a roguelite dungeon management game with turn-based battles. You are a Boss of a dungeon. You have a few choices but i chose the one with lightning (Forgot his name). There is 2 stages of the game. prep and fight. Preparation is where the dungeon creation comes into play. You have a few different parts. You have traps and monsters each with their own rooms. You can choose 1 trap and then for monster rooms 3 monsters. you have 2 trap and 2 monster rooms. At the very end is you the boss. The fighting phase is where you take on people invading your dungeon. If they get past all your defenses they get to you. If you win against them You will be able to pick from one of 3 monsters or traps to use. you won't always be fighting sometimes you will be training monsters or sending them on business trips or feeding a giant spider in your basement or hiring therapists for your monsters who died.
So what do i think about this game? Well so far its really good! Although i wish there was a little more hero variety. But overall this game is fun. Combat is good but its a little restricting. What i mean by that is when you attack something your attacks are limited by either front back or area. You can ONLY attack with those and only certain attacks are front and certain attacks are back. I get the area having certain attacks because it inflicts everyone. But there isnt any middle attacks. Id just rather have it be select where you want to use the attack. But honestly it doesnt take much away from the game because combat is still fun. You can collect a ton of monsters and traps to use in your dungeons and i find it very rewarding to complete a hard dungeon and get some gold and monsters. Part of the game is also resource management which im sort of iffy on but this game does it pretty well with having 3 different currencies. Gold Blood and Tears. Gold is obtained by plundering loot either from events trips plunders or just fighting adventures. Blood is obtained by killing heroes or plunders. And tears are gotten from morale decreasing and plunders. This game as of now is in early access and it just got its final early access update meaning the next update will be full release. So this game will be constantly updated with new monsters traps heroes and such. If you like Turn based games and some simulation stuff and some dumb humor this game is exactly what you will want to play. Now im gonna get back to killing random adventurers who harmlessly walked into my dungeon.

Gameplay
The gameplay is very very fun! Combat is great but its just the limiting factor of not being able to choose where you can attack that prevents it from being a 10. Other then that the combat is smooth and fun.

Presentation
its pixel graphics are very nice! it can sometimes get repetitive over time.

Overall

This game is 100% worth your time if you are a fan of the genres i talked about in my review! Other then that one combat problem its a great game! Buy it if you have the money and time especially time. I look forward to a possible mobile or switch port of this game!
