    Actually both Arch and Ubuntu distros to allow wireless communication (Arch it's a bit of a pain but it works).

    Really depends on what you want. My main OS is Arch Linux, however you need to set that up yourself and all that, in exchange you install what you want. If you want something that installs and just works, any Ubuntu distro will work, I would recommend Mint for someone just starting out with Linux.
