I'm gonna fork steves shit, and I'll make this memchunkhax tomorrow.

Doesnt seem that hard I would assume that smea and the other guys have already made something along the lines in case we don't figure it out already.
Actually looks like Stevice10 is already pretty close to having it working... Also I HIGHLY doubt Smea is gonna release anything. Stevice10 has got it just fine anyways... You do what you want but I think an alpha will be ready soon from Stevice

It looks like Stevice10 is almost done a rough copy, the latest update added a whole bunch of svc overwrite stuff.

If you do that, name it brickhax. As it is extremely experimental. :rofl2:

Hmm... Question, would ARM11 kernel be enough to do a NAND backup? I was just thinking about it and I foresee an inrush of "halp my 3ds brick" posts... Which could be SIGNIFICANTLY cut down on with a NAND backup method

You forked it but you didn't make anything yet.

Just stop. You have 0 credibility and have no idea what your doing. You've got 35 messages on this site with more than half being questions about how to run homebrew. Including this http://gbatemp.net/threads/can-i-recover-from-this.400946/

Wowey I see I've already got some haters, jeez didn't take long. I'm sorry I wasn't born and raised with a 3DS in my hands, all while giving birth to a kernel exploit. I can see your ability to read is quite good. I'm sorry I don't have my entire life bio on this site, all while keeping my sig intact with everything I've ever accomplished. I'm not trying to gain credibility, and I don't care too.

smealum didn't come into the 3ds scene knowing what he was doing, but he learnt, and so will I. I'll just leave this site to never come back.

I mean maybe showcasing some work would help? No need to leave because of a single person not believing that you can achieve something :/

I don't blame her. If all people could do was instantly criticize me and be ungrateful I wouldn't really feel like doing anything for them either.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
