3DS 11.4 Firmware Update Available

0hnqi7q.png

Just today, Nintendo 3DS firmware 11.4.0-37 has been released. I saw no other posts on this so far, so I am posting it. Here is what I found so far has been either temporarily or permanently broken/patched.

BootNTR Selector: Working with latest version (2.7.3)

UDSploit: Patched

Soundhax: Patched (Finally Nintendo... Lmao)

Safehax: Doesn't work without UDSploit, so therefore broken.

11.4.0-37 fixes the slowdown bug for some games like OOT3D that 11.3.0-36 has introduced. Confirmed by @Feffe

Please let me know if anything else got patched. Yes, of course, if you have A9LH+Luma3DS, you can safely update.

Only on New 3DS as of yet. I don't think that it will automatically download the payload; you'll have to download the NEW 11.4.0-37U payload from Smea's site and rename it NEW-11-4-0-37-USA.bin.

If you have an Old 3DS then you'll have to wait until the O3DS 11.4 payloads are released.
Yeah, sorry I thought I gave all the info :) Yes, I do have the New 3DS. So the CIA version works, I only need to download the payloads if they are not downloaded automatically.

The process would go as follows:
1- Update Luma to the latest nighty
2- System update
3- Download payloads (if not downloaded) and rename to NEW-11-4-0-37-USA.bin or whatever matches my version.
4- Run hbl without problems :)

Correct? Thanks!

Doesn't matter when you do 3, and it will have to be renamed 'NEW-11-4-0-37-USA.bin' and put in your hblauncherloader folder on the root of your SD. Just make sure you've updated Luma to the latest nightly before doing a system update and you'll be fine.

Ohhh perfect! I though I had to match it with my console version or whatsoever. Thank you!

I don't know why, but my old 3DS (PAL) v 11.4 can launch the homebrew launcher (cia version) and no payload has been released for this version.

I've heard that with CFW you can access the homebrew launcher if you just rename the 11.2/11.3 payload, though I haven't been able to test this myself.

I just enter in homebrew launcher website 11.2.0-999E and download otherapp.bin, then I rename it to OLD-11-4-0-37-EUR.bin and put in the homebrew laucher folder in my SDCard.
Now it's working fine (my 3ds is running luma 6.6 arm9loaderhax on sysnand) but sometimes, homebrew launcher fails to boot (yellow screen).
The launch success rate is not 100%.

My question about 8 page ago seems to have slipped through the cracks, so sorry for reposting but I kinda need to know. I updated to 11.4 and updated NTR, Luma, and even FreeShop. My question is, someone said that NTR Streaming is broken now, is this true? I'd test but shortly after updating my 3DS my router died (RIP) so I can't really test it. Sorry again for the repost but I'm kinda freaking out here.

How do i update homebrew launcher to 1.1.3?

Every time i load it it says it's 1.1.1, even though i installed the 1.1.3 cia file. pressing X does nothing at all.

oh well

downloaded and renamed the payload manually installed it, and it seems to work. httpwn and dsp dump run fine. so running 11.4 a9lh now without issue. i can send it off now

if you have an o3ds.

0) install latest hblauncher cia version
1) download 11.2.0.x region otherapp payload for your region. for USA it's OLD 11.2.0.35 USA. use 11.2, 11.3 isn't stable on 11.4 Luma.
2) place it in hblauncherloader folder, but name it OLD-11-4-0-37-USA.bin (assuming your region is USA)
3) update luma with luma updater. Latest nightly is fine, unless 6.7 is out. then get that. :)
4) update system with system update to 11.4.

you now have a working 11.4 a9lh.

everything will work, including gba, ds, and homebrew. Just tested myself.

Thanks, but can you tell were I can find this step: 1) download 11.2.0.x region otherapp payload for your region.
