I really want to be able to listen to music on my 3ds, but I don't really like the way that Ctrmus looks, there's no colors. Its just black and white. It gives me a "oops, I just bricked my N3DSXL that cost me $270 and 2 hours to mod (Was scared of accidentally bricking it in the process). Oh no," Kinda feel. Limeplayer3ds looks perfect, but theres no CIA QR CODE for it, is there anywhere? Any suggestions of an open-source, friendly interface, nice looking, CIA QR CODE downloadable, Music player for N3DSXL? or must I have to get Ctrmus??

Your options are:
  • ctrmus, which you already don't like
  • LimePlayer3DS, which has a GUI but no CIA version (3dsx only)
  • Nintendo 3DS Sound, built-in but only supports mp3, m4a, mp4, and 3gp

You won't find anything that looks nice for this sadly.

There's Video Player 3DS - despite its name, it can play music files, but the interface is eh. https://github.com/Core-2-Extreme/Video_player_for_3DS

You can also try apps made for Nintendo DS instead - they look generally nicer. You might have luck with lmp-ng, for example, and be able to setup a forwarder for it? (I would suggest Moonshell but it doesn't work well outside of a DS flashcart)

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Booo.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
