Found it, second post - http://www.gamefaqs....63549807?page=6

Best thing you can do is wait it out imo, if its still there then you should send it back/repairs.
Thanks. I can wait a day more, I'll try to have it on as long as possible likeweaville said (although I can't play for that long) and if it's still there I'll return it.

Hope the issue is not that bad when the US release hits.

Got my 3DS XL on Friday and im loving it i tested all 66 of my games and wow alot of games benifit from the larger screen makes me wanna start alot of the games over.
the screen looks best on brightness 2 with no power save, the screen will take sum getting used to going from the normal 3DS but once you do youll never go back trust me
the worlds are much bigger. there is a yellow tint but after playing for awhile its not noticeable and the battery lasts a long time compared to first 3DS. feel free to ask me any questions
oh and yea speakers suk lol also i just wanted to add that alot of the games feel like they were ment to be on the xl when you get it youll see what i mean.

Crap happens. I remember buying my very first DS Lite and it had a stuck pixel. Luckily I bought it from Walmart and they let me exchange it. The woman there said it was the first case she had seen and considering how stable Nintendo products are I wouldn't doubt it.

Point is crap happens so if anyone has these issues just do themselves a favor and take it back and exchange it. Chances are Nintendo will catch on and prevent future shipments from having this issue. I personally wouldn't like the idea of "waiting it out". Hopefully none of you bought it from some place that isn't fickle about exchanges though.

Dumb question but have you compared with power saving on and off? It might make a huge difference.
Not really.

Take a look:

It's a bit darker and lacks a bit of detail in the HOME menu.

Here's a closeup:

The upper "squares" will fade more in power saving mode. Screen is a little darker. That's all.

I notice my screen slightly yellower but it doesn't bug me. Looks amazing.. just played some 3DS, GB, and DS games and prefer them blown up. Pixels are noticeable in games with 3D graphics but depends on the game. DOA Dimensions looked fantastic on XL while Super Mario 3D Land is obviously more pixelated (but still looks pretty good anyway).

Yep. I don't regularly shop there, but if I'm shopping for an expensive 'tech' item where manufacturing defects could be an issue and WalMart sells it, then that's where I'm gonna buy it. WalMart takes just about anything back.
