Acekard Review Competition
Win 1 of 5 Acekard R.P.G.'s
5 x
acekardrpg.gif

As the lucky recipients of the 50 prizes in our recent GBAtemp Quiz #2 give-away may already be aware (if you read the enclosed slip..), the Acekard team, as well as donating 50 Acekard 2's to us to give away; have also given us 5 Acekard R.P.G kits to hand out.

The Acekard Team have asked our members to write up a review of their Acekard 2 (whether you bought it yourself or won it in our competition) and post your review somewhere such as your own personal website or blog. The five best reviews, judged by us, will win an Acekard R.P.G unit.

Remember to keep the reviews honest, we will be judging your reviews and NOT the Acekard Team, so make your review truthful and objective - that means no ass kissing!

Entries must be published on your website/blog and submitted to us for consideration (details below) BEFORE 10th July 2008. Any entries not submitted before this date will NOT be eligible to win.

To submit your review for consideration please send me a Personal Message by clicking here. (Be sure to include the full website address that links directly to your review. Winners will be notified within 1 week of closing via PM at GBAtemp.net. You will have 1 month from winning notification to claim your prize.)

Good luck, and thanks to the Acekard Team for donating all the prizes we have to give away.

I wish I had an AceKard 2, because the R.P.G. is really awesome! It's a bit too expensive to buy though, as I already have a perfectly working flashcart.

In case anyone is wondering why we are giving away so many Acekards recently and are questioning our site, possibly considering we're biased. Please understand that we aren't and would never favour any particular flash kit. We have had a big staff discussion regarding this because of the recent amount of Acekard's we've recently given away - we almost decided against giving these five away!

The Acekard team are just too generous for their and OUR own good

I didn't even know they had sent out these 5 cards until it was too late.

Also, if you're not a fan of the Acekard - stay tuned! We may be having yet ANOTHER flash kit give-away soon

Which cart? Well, you'll just have to wait and find out.

I think he was quite clearly saying theres another give-away coming soon......

I don't think the giveaways make the site biased, especially when its clearly stated they were donated by the company, and not the site randomly going out to purchase 50 of them.

For acekard it is just marketing. Which is okay because its the sort of marketing that attracts awareness , interest and desire in the product... but not action. Which is fine. Everyone's happy.... Acekard get some exposure, GBAtemp attract a lot of members and activity and the members have fun entering contests/giveaways and the winners get something nice.

And that's all coming from a marketing professional *nods*

Are we gonna need proof that we have an AceKard 2? Just wondering.
Well, no. Maybe i should have said No purchase necessary...

Meaning you can borrow one off a friend or something. As long as the review you submit is a decent review of the Acekard 2 then it's fine.

Do you have to post it on a blog or website? Can I just PM the review? I got neither

I'm afraid we can't post it on your behalf as we'd have too many Acekard reviews and then we WOULD look biased.

Why not use your GBAtemp blog? That's acceptable

Why not post it on your GBAtemp blog? Everyone has a GBAtemp blog. Just click on 'blogging service' on under 'site navigation' on the left hand side of the portal.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
