Amazon Prime users can redeem a free year of Nintendo Switch Online through Twitch

Amazon Prime offers a multitude of features and perks with its subscription, including things like video streaming, free 2 day shipping, and tons more. Since Amazon's purchase of Twitch, membership bonuses extended to the streaming service as well, allowing for users to link their account to get a free channel sub in the form of Twitch Prime. Adding onto the list freebies is something geared towards Nintendo fans, as any North American Nintendo Switch owner who has Amazon Prime and a Twitch account can now receive 12 full months of the Nintendo Switch Online service for no extra charge.

Claiming the offer will give you 3 months of Nintendo Switch Online, but once 60 days have passed, and considering that you're still an active Amazon Prime member, you'll be able to claim the rest of the year-long subscription by returning back to the website linked below. The bonus is available only until September 24, 2019, so be sure to get it before its gone. For those wondering if you can somehow work multiple free redemptions from this, the offer will only work once per Nintendo account. Any new user or current individual Nintendo Switch Online subscriber can make use of the free year, however, those with a family membership are not eligible to extend their membership using it.

*Offer only available in select countries. A Twitch Prime Account age 13+ and a Nintendo Account linked to a Nintendo Switch system are required to take advantage of this offer. The Nintendo Account User Agreement, including the Purchase and Subscription terms, apply. Please redeem the 3-month Nintendo Switch Online membership between 3/28/2019 and 9/24/2019. Active Twitch Prime account for 60 days required to claim additional 9-month Nintendo Switch Online membership at no extra cost. Please redeem the 9-month membership by 1/22/2020. Nintendo Switch Online family membership holders are not eligible for this offer. A credit card (Visa/Mastercard) or PayPal account is required for users age 18 and up. This offer can only be claimed once per each Twitch Prime and Nintendo Account.

Heh I know but a guy can dream right? The one thing I still don't know is if I can apply the free NSO months to an individual account that's on a family plan already, but it's already seemingly too much hassle for $4 worth of online to even try to look into.

Hmmm; Not bad, but the only thing that's free is the first 3-months, you need to pay $13 in order to obtain the additional 6 months, though such a small price to pay considering a 12-month subscription can net you $20. You technically saved $7 with this.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.
