I currently am running Gridlaucher, but I am wondering if there are any other interfaces except for the normal one and GridLauncher.

not really you could use some thing like sun shell but it a .3dsx and not the boot.3dsx so you wont boot strait in to it.

Just rename Sun Shell's 3DSX to boot.3dsx and put it in the root of the SD card. You can do that with pretty much any homebrew.
