You need a BitTorrent client like uTorrent in order to download those and other files in the guide.

Some files linked to by the guide use Magnet links. You need to use a torrent client (such as qBittorrent). The guide explains this on the first page.

I use the free Utorrent and get no adds at all. Also paired with a free vpn so my ass is hidden.

You're either running a years old version of uTorrent or have ad blocking in some way. uTorrent free has ads.

qBitorrent sometimes make a PC slow. @3than_H, if you got this problem, try Deluge.

Unfortunately I got it to work with my computer but some others it doesn't. If you're using 32bit windows or non-windows I can send you another (in about an hour or two). If you're using 64bit it's supposed to work, I'm still trying to work out why it doesn't work sometimes :-(

Mine's a 64 bit so... not sure why its not working.

You're better off just using a torrent client to download files. Not difficult. Doesn't matter what client you use either .. Last time I needed files I downloaded them using Tixati which members keep talking about here but it was nothing special. The lite version of Vuze will do just fine .. or any other for that matter. You don't need to be a genius to use them, either.

Not saying Quantumcat's software isn't useful but if it's not working for you ..

Also FYI the file you're failing to download isn't the only torrent file; There are three of them. And the reason why they're torrent files is because those files are illegal to host/share, but linking a torrent site on your site isn't actually illegal because you're not hosting any of the content.

If you don't want to download a torrent client for the sole purpose of hacking your 3DS, you can probably use a website such as zbigz as a means to download the files. Most of these websites do have a file size limit and are painfully slow so you'd have to be patient with them.
