I haven't followed the scene for quite some time now... last time I checked autobooting to haxchi had risks of bricking if you format your system, delete the haxchi/ds game etc...
is there a brick safe method of autobooting to haxchi now?

It is safe as long as you don't use a pirated ds vc title, moving the title to usb, delete the game, remove the user which bought the game or format the console with installed cbhc. I use it since one or two years with no problems.

yeah those are the risks.. as I said I am not the only one using the wii u. So, I can't take the risks.. I will wait (if it ever comes out) for a safer solution.

There is a boot1 exploit. But this one is not so convinient like cbhc. Because it is a warmboot exploit iirc. And we all know the wii u is not the fastest console at boot.

Holy moly. Now i know what you mean with this statement. Then you should use either the regular haxchi, or use a pin before entering the data management.

If you are worried about the brick risk associated with CBHC, then you should just use Haxchi (or, if you haven't already purchased a DS game, the internet browser + Mocha).

There is a boot1 exploit that could possibly be turned into a very low-risk coldboot solution without the need for a DS game, but nobody has gotten around to doing that yet.

thx for all your replies. I prefer not to install the CBHC ... furthermore tbh I will probably forget what CBHC is installed in the future and mess up with it cuz I very rarely use the WII U
I also have a softmodded wii and I want to sell it but I need to format the wii but I don't know if this will result in a brick; I have no idea what hacks I installed on it.. I forgot everything...

A softmodded wii or wii u? Wii with softmods...can be safely formatted. A wii u with the regular haxchi...can safely be formatted.

I have both lol.. a softmodded wii which I wanna sell and a sofmodded wii u which I currently use.
Does formatting a softmodded wii also removes the hacks?

CBHC, you wont brick unless you just fail to follow some really simple instructions.
