I have replaced 2 cr1025 batteries for ez flash ode. With the first battery the ez flash ode card makes a noise, then the battery explodes. The second ez flash ode card still makes noise, I was afraid so I removed the battery. Has anyone come across a case like this? I don't know what the cause is. is there any way to fix it? The battery I used as picture below.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the battery in the EZflash Omega (DE) might be rechargeable? In which case, when you replace the battery with a non rechargeable one, it will still try to charge it, which is bad.

The battery that comes with the ez card only has the name cr1025 so I don't know if it's rechargeable.

Can you elaborate a bit on what you mean by the battery exploding? Never seen button cells do that.
I changed the battery as shown in the picture for the ez flash ode, I turned on my game boy advance and played for about 15 minutes, the ez card was very noisy and felt like it was shaking, then there was a beeping sound, the battery split into 2 parts.

No, it is not rechargeable. Should last a long while though.

Can you take a picture. Are you sure you put the battery in the correct orientation?

Not sure if these tiny batteries have enough energy to explode on just a short. Sounds like there is something very wrong with these EZ ODEs or the batteries.

If you can organize a multimeter check continuity between the silver battery holder and the gold pad under the battery.

Can you make a video tutorial? I don't know how to do.

Set the multimeter dial to the symbol that looks like this:
ch2-continuity-symbol-01.png

Touch a probe in point A and another in point B and if it beeps there is circuit continuity between the two points. A short happens when there is continuity where there shouldn't be.

Why are you guys calling it ODEs? AFAIK ODE stands for "optical drive emulator". These are flashcards, Gameboys do not have optical drives.

Sorry, i can't make one but there are a ton of tutorials on YouTube. You can easily test if the mulltimeter is in continuity mode by touching the tips of the red and black probes together. The multimeter should beep. The when testing at the battery holder it not beep. If it does it's shorting the battery.

This is usually the continuity symbol on multimeters:

It's of course not an optical drive emulator. It's just convenience shortening the name like this.
