Homebrew Question Best way to use cheats on games?

On my switch, I want to use cheats on games obviously. I can use tinfoil but it isn't updated often. It might be but it has very few cheats on games that I play a lot such as dead cells. Just wondering is there possibly a way to update tinfoil cheats? Every time I launch cheats through checkpoint it crashes. Maybe there is a simple fix I am not sure. Thank you if you can help.

Go ahead and search for a certain wonderful homebrew called "All in one switch updater" and it'll update your cheats with a simple button press. Also if you're on atmosphere use the tesla overlay.

Also the tesla overlay seems too much for me to be honest. Is there a easy way to use cheats

how is it too much?
just put edizon + tesla overlay on your sd card press "L + keypad down + R3" to open over lay and select cheats for the game you are playing

Ok everything is fixed except i have like no cheats. On zelda for example I have 2 cheats even though i used that switch updater thing you told me to use.

Are you on SX or atmosphere? If anything just make sure all the file paths are correct. I've never had a game crash on me upon cheat activation

double check if cheats in the folders and make sure to turn auto cheats on to off

How do I turn auto cheats off?

On SD card go to Atmosphere config template and take out the System setting.ini
Open it , search the line "; dmnt_cheats_enabled_by_default = u8!0x1"
Change it to this, simply remove the ";"
and copy this dmnt_cheats_enabled_by_default = u8!0x0"
