Best Youtube downloader for Windows?

Internet Download Manager. It isn't free but is not expensive and is probably one of the best programs I've ever bought and works perfectly for grabbing videos from YouTube. They have a free trial if you want to check it out.

Yeah the youtube feature is pretty handy. But you can use aria2 or PCL2(Plain Craft Launcher 2) for the multithreaded download feature. The latter one is in Chinese, though.

Wdym? Do you wish to convert the file format? You'll need a separate converter for that, it's not how files work.

Converting was the word. Thank you. But no, I wanted the downloader to do it n save time. Thank you anyway. Also, I guess Ghrome could translate that page for me. Big question, does it download porn?

I use that as it's very convenient for multiple tasks, but the best YouTube downloader? Can't beat YouTube-DL. Hands down the best.

+1 for yt-dlp. it's FOSS, actively developed, and a fork of youtube-dl. You have to know some command line switches, but as long as your uncle can remember those switches, it's just a copy-paste job. I believe you can tell it to get the best quality video, or have it get all qualities/selected qualities by using command switches.

I know it's not the easiest, but it is one of the best. it's also cross-platform, so it works on Linux (and likely Mac OS) too

And once again, it's FOSS, so you can download it, redistribute it, and use it to your heart's content legally

Those programs claiming they're 4K and what not make me avoid it. If I want to download without it being the best quality and convenient, I'd just use IDM.

Yup, Youtube-dl and yt-dlp both support playlists. yt-dlp is MUCH faster than the original youtube-dl; that's why I started using it

Well mine is cracked so its a win win eitherway. IDM was my old choice for single music downloads, but over time I needed something that could mass download. But honestly I use 4k video for its features rather than its name. I'd rather download 720p videos b/c they dont take up space - mainly tutorials. Its pretty much the same as YT-DL from the looks of it, but wihout any coding an such

You can also use web-services like y2mate, which also works on your mobile device, I don't need no fancy program for that, although kudos to the works posted here, looking amazing as computer tools.

I'm not sponsored by IDM, but the program shows a button above YouTube videos with different resolutions. That's as easy as it gets.

Anyway, comments on YouTube appear to be missing/hidden and I read other users noticed it as well. Wtf is going on.

Can also confirm IDM gets the job done very well, not only for YouTube videos, never went a day without it after I discovered the program.

Considering the comment issues, it's probably YouTube turning them off themselves, for example if their bot or algorithm detects a (human) child in the video, most videos like that have their comments disabled because of "sAfEtY" hurrdurr.
