Hi all. Does anyone have any news about this game:
https://vndb.org/r12106
Certainly this title has something unique and incredible: the first and only eroge game officially released in UMD format for PSP, obviously only in Japan. Eroge is frankly an understatement; it is a shamelessly and blatantly hentai (pornographic) horror visual novel.
I played the english PC version many years ago: to be fair, the plot is very compelling and engaging (with about twenty endings available, some terrible, some neutral and a few positive), the japanese voice acting excellent (as always in these titles) and the anime artwork very good, with painstaking attention to "certain" details.
The game was ported and released on PSP by the same software house that produced the virtually identical Windows version.
I don't think it was ever dumped (is that the right term?) and archived online in iso format; or if it was, it is unobtainable and untraceable to me. Have you guys ever heard of it? Could it be that it was never archived online? Is anyone able to provide me with any news about it or post any useful links? Thank you.

I did a bit searching and so far I found something that makes me believe that this is not actually a game, it's just the same as any other, at least in this site it's saying that it's an UMD Video, you can compare the release data and the JAN code to see that they match... I also believe that day by day we are losing those UMD Videos forever...

Edit: This +18 Reddit post confirms that it's not a game.

Hmm.. I'm still not entirely convinced. Its official website describes it as a dvd player GAME:
http://web.archive.org/web/20070301...s/ATV00010/products/bibleblack_umd/index.html
Of the two links you posted, one Google can't translate it into english, and the other won't let me access since I'm not registered. VNDB also reports it as a version of the game (among others) for psp:
https://vndb.org/v9
Ultimately, there are several clues that it is not actually a game, but no definite proof. 🤔

You should try to view those photos the person shared in there, it's a collection of +18 UMDs he has and there you can see the physical version of that, also in the official say it's a UMD Video... So reading what you said sounds like you haven't tried any of those UMDs (I'm sorry if you had and if so, ignore the rest), they are "playable" to a certain extent, you can choose paths which leads to different scenes and you can replay then, but it's all Video, you should try to play another one like Kanojo x Kanojo x Kanojo and you'll know what I meant.

Correct. I've actually never heard of those. I knew there were movies in UMD format, but not that there were interactive anime movies with the ability to make choices and result to different endings. Are there other such anime with english subtitles? Is there a complete list somewhere? Are they obtainable online in iso format?

It is indeed a playable "game" (as much as you can call VNs games anyway), despite being in UMD-Video format. This is what the PG in the title indicates. Check out this Reddit post.

Edit: Just to clear things up, the one photographed in the reddit post that was linked earlier is an animation, I believe. It's not the PG that is the subject topic here. Completely different release with a different title.

Edit 2: Never mind, it's in there, I only saw one of the three somehow lol. Point stands that it's a playable VN in UMD-Video format.

Thank you. Hmm... On that page you posted there is a link concerning a supposedly complete list of these psp eroge visual novels (VNDB.org): the titles are numerous, which is really unexpected, but Bible Black is missing among others, so I assume it is not so complete.
Many of these are famous and renowned titles also available in english for windows: Gore Screaming Show, Summer Days, Clover Hearts, School Days, Sharin no Kuni, etc.
Too bad that not a single one of these psp titles has english subtitles (I assume).

I believe they all were released Japan only, you know how it is. Though if you want to give it a try to something closer to that experience in English for the PSP I recommend getting the Divi-Dead port.

Yeah, thank you. I have already installed and read it on PSP. Lately I have been using mainly Neko Project 2 for PSP with the various PC-98 titles recently translated into english or ported from the old MS-DOS version:

including the classic and memorable YU-NO. 😉

Mostly for big purchases, I want it in my hands before I pay. Like a tv, I trust picking it up myself, before I'd trust it being sent thru mail/delivery. (Broken screen, etc) But yea if I can order online, then pickup at store is ok, but not all places offer that.

Thing is, if you break it driving back to your house, it's your fault. But if the delivery driver damages it, it's not your fault.
