Build engine game "Blood" source code leaked online

FloYhFGXwAYEKl_.png

Blood, one of the popular 3D first person shooters of the 90's developed by Monolith Studios in the famous Build engine, which was also the same engine used in Duke Nukem 3D and Shadow Warrior, had its source code leaked online. The source code leak dates back to July 1996, one year before the final release of the game in 1997, and it seems to include the full source code of the game, minus binary and asset files according to the NFO of the leak, and it includes several Ken Silverman and its coding.

The leak will mainly be relegated to historical purposes, as in terms of portability towards the game, Blood has seen a few share of open source code recreations throughout the years, with the most popular one being NBlood.

You know what ? Fuck it.
I've been waiting for a Blood port for years after eDuke32 was released and I would have gladly paid for it. Didn't happen and now thanks to an incredible amount of work we have BuildGDX which runs Blood, Tekwar, Exhumed, Witchaven so, really, fuck that leaker.

Regarding this I do not agree at all. NBlood is based on EDuke32, so a more advanced and powerful engine than the original one: and it is the latter that could be ported to DSi with good results (on DS phat/lite I don't think it is possible). After all, no one thought it possible to port jfDuke3d (old Duke Nukem 3d engine) to DS/DSi, yet it has been done recently with very good results by our ingenious @elhobbs, even with the possibility to play the numerous add-on episodes available. I fervently hope that someone will take on this new challenge, and prove that I am not just rambling in vain.

Forgot about BuildGDX... It was how I beat Blood for the first time (forgive me, father, for I have sinned) with my brother a few years back.

hoping this will lead to a Nintendo Switch port of the game soon!
If you're talking about a homebrew port, it already exists and is called NXBlood, based on NBlood. If you want an official port, Atari is shit, owns the publishing rights to it, but refuses to do anything with it, presumably because that would require cooperating with Warner Brothers, and Atari doesn't like such things.

When I worked for Dell we had access to data about military contracts and addresses for high ranking people.

I personally handled a call from the second highest person at Raytheon. That call bothered me a lot... The guy was nice and smart what bothered me was the way management basically just blew him off instead of going the extra mile to help him.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
In the end that call ended up costing Dell millions in lost contracts with Raytheon, and really the issue could have been solved for like 450 bucks lol

sometimes I wonder why anyone would ever buy mega man x legacy collection 2
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I always thought that capcom shuffled the games in these collection, but apparently they are all in chronological order, which makes legacy collection 2 worthless
