Hardware Can a bent 3DS charger prong cause a shortage in it?

I have a N3DS XL which has a short and whenever it charges the orange light always blinks on and off, but I noticed that whenever I move the wall part, the speed of the blinking changes, could it be the bent prong on the wall part that's causing this to happen?

Try using a charging dock, the one that uses the pad.

Also, it should cause a short unless they are touching

I (somehow) got it to fit on my O3DS charging dock but it's still flashing

Don't know if it's the way the charger is positioned, or the dock, but it's seemed to stop blinking
