Gaming Can a Pokemon Sapphire save's region be converted?

I have a beat up Australian (PAL) Sapphire cart but I'm getting a nicer looking USA cart soon with a new battery - if I were to start a game on my Aus cartridge could I rip the save and convert the it to USA for my new cart? Thanks.

There's no such thing as an Australian version, outside of the packaging - the American version is the only one in a language that can be called English

Just backup and restore (hoping you didn't get a bootleg...) - well, open it in PkHeX first and unlock the one-off clock reset option, since it's the best option to sync the clock with the save's timestamp!

All English versions of this game exclusively use American English. Such as spelling and measurement units.
