Can I use any Zelda amiibo to unlock Link's costume in Mario Kart 8: Deluxe?

I'm trying to look around for a cheap Zelda/Link amiibo so that I can unlock the Link costume on April 28 but since I don't know, I thought I'd ask here.

If Link amiibo can unlock that in Mario Kart 8, should unlock the suit too in MK8 Deluxe. .
I don't know if Ganondorf amiibo can unlock that,
If i know, MK8 support these amiibos:
Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Toad (Bowser Jr. too?) Link, Captain Falcon, Olimar, Yoshi, and Rosalina.

Yeah, just some amiibos works, like Mario works, Waluigi doesn't work.
Link works, Ganondorf doesn't.
Every game have amiibo comtatibility, like Splatoon, just Splatoon Amiibos or Smash, just Smash Amiibos.

Just buy some blank ntags, and make your own "amiibo".
