Change save location of Dungeon Siege

Hi, I installed Dungeon Siege (the first one) on my thumb-drive (playing the game... what a nostalgia).
But the the game saves my plays in My Document.
I would like to know if it would be possible to change the location Dungeon Siege looks for its saves, and if somebody could give me instructions on how to do that.
Yes, I have been looking on google for it, but only found topics from people confused about where the game saves.

Looking around the game appears to be a typical example of Windows devs not doing things quite properly, or at least before MS got harsh.

In my searches I did see a portable version but it was a download of the complete rather than a patch or instructions. You might be able to get something done with http://ds.gemsite.org/web/index.php/game-settings though.

Oh! That could be very helpful!
I have no trouble redownloading the game, its not that big after all. And I could just transfer the save from the game I have now to there (I presume).
I'll take a look at it.
