I suggest you too to try the LLVM builds made by Sickc which were posted right here in order to find out if any of those is faster than the one you're using right now.

i really dislike those builds, they have bad framepacing, FMV stutter, and inconcistent framerates (100% - yet running at 20fps, wtf?)

I hope that get fixed because it is getting in other builds too.

Anyone else getting glowing around characters especially in USUM? I'm on UM and using the 21-11 MSVC build. I looked in the past few pages and couldn't find anyone having this issue, so I'm sorry if it's been asked and answered.

Both jhon591 and sickc builds are good.
If you tried other games in sickc's builds, you will get different result.
For example,

sickc's build in 20th Nov (start at 7:55):

jhon591's build in 22th Nov:

And in Pokemon Sun, jhon591's build got higher speed.

I'm playing SMT IV and all these latest builds drop to 70% speed in battle while recording, while sick's older build works fastest

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.
