heey guys i have been looking on this forum for a couple of weeks now but i dont really know what the best build for my specs is. ifanyone could help me out i would appreciate it!

Proccesor: Intel(R) Core I7-6700HQ

So which version should i use? Nehalem, SandyBridge, Haswell, Bulldozer, generic, Ryzen or skybridge?
and should i use the VS2017, LLVM5.0.0, ICC18 or GCC7.2

i am a total noob at all of this XD just trying to find the fastest build (for monstre hunter gen)
Your CPU supports avx2 so try the VS2017 avx2 one

Yours builds the best for me. Honestly.
Can you also explain to me, why you deleted the multiplayer function from yours last builds?

Maybe a mix up, sorry.
--------
Well after a hell of a lot of merging and un-merging with Bleeding edge, and compiling for test, Look like ding ding ding we have a winner into what might have broke "Fire Emblem Warriors" this branch is the only on one merge that brakes the game from loading up..

Yep brakes after this branch from working and game stop's working at startup
https://github.com/citra-emu/citra-bleeding-edge/commit/3174bfd50c69dfa523671b96448113996a0bc42c

Although with latest builds of Citra some of this coding is missing, Maybe the citra team pros can look into this ?

If anybody wants a Linux sickc build, here it is. Nothing fancy like optimizations. I just cloned sickc's sandbox_test branch and compiled it with default options in the Citra Linux build guide.
Wait, how do I post the link? I'm not able to post it.

It says "This is likely because your content is spam-like or contains inappropriate elements."

"Fire Emblem Warriors JP/EU/US"

Ok, after doing this I got the FEW Game to Start Up at least on latest the Citra Canary build!

My Potential Fix workout here..
https://github.com/Jhon591/citra-1/commit/16e5e2f5e80b1a7a14e835bbacdb1eccf52ded01

However this dose NOT Prevent the Freezing on loading Screen again, What ever I did at this time last year, Must have been some think to do with the Core Timing to get it pass the loading screen freeze.., I feel that it maybe the FIFA branch at the time, but some of this is missing over a year..

So we could try working on this..

@Citra teams anyone to look into this and help ?..

Why is posting links to these Chinese builds not allowed? I'm assuming it's related to piracy and whatnot? Can someone explain to me what it is about these versions that make them faster but also make them illegal?

The original guy from there stopped his build's long ago, forgot his name..
Most of the one they have now are from here, and main Citra are canary..

It would be just looping back to where it came from lol

--------

EDIT, Good news "Minecraft" is now Playable, If setup correctly and not to fast, (Note) "Do" Do some setting first to prevent errors be four loading, like Citra as name and Small World / Maybe Creative / And Flat world I chose, The Game loaded up without errors.

(Note) Controls are Awful, Unless you have a good gamepad!

Cause some Chinese Builds aren't license plus free shared_font.bin and NAND dump which are copyrighted in short, pirated copy. So yeah. The last build that I got with those files by accident was few months ago. But then, why would I when I already have those files by dump?

We should stop post sickc's builds, because official team dosen't like it.

1. sickc is from Taiwan (I don't know he think he is Chinese(中國人) or Taiwanese, but I think we are Chinese(華人) @@).

2. There are only two Chinese builds are illegal, one is gdmk, the other one is never shown here, and also rarely shows in Chinese community, some of Chinese doesn't like that build.

3. sickc's builds are not illegal, that official team member dosen't like those builds just because sickc merged some codes that they are not allow at this moment, there are not many open source projects do this, I also think sickc doesn't know he merged codes that aren't allowed.

  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
