I actually understand you very well.
I really don't like people with expensive AF PCs that use latest available parts saying "It runs fine for me LEL XD". I am starting to see that BS more and more often.
I mean, if you spent 5000$ a month ago to put together that PC, then sure as hell it will run almost anything you throw at it.
But most people don't have a 5000$ PCs. Sadly, those arrogant derps don't even want to think about that.

I know some people seems to only want to brag about their mega-special top-notch rigs, but I find specially amusing the posts that are like: Ai don oondurstand, citra no ran in muh peecee... Buy da way, dis is muh peecee...

Good news, bad news, I don't know if that was the case before, but now up to 4 players can play on MHXX on valentine's build. However it appears some desync are present and if it gets too intense you get dc'd from the rest of the group!

Are you sure it is not a network problem?

Yeah. But also, some places don't sell Nintendo products which is a problem to them and some of the users here are like teenagers and don't own PayPal or even a credit/debit card to buy stuffs online. I mean, a 2nd hand console is cheaper and fine than a new one that is expensive imo. But if they want to buy their own and not being a 2nd hand, they have to save alot of money and for the teenagers, they have to study hard. A 3DS/2DS(both old and new) are cheaper than a PC with Nvidia GTX 1080 and Intel Core i7 8th Gen. If you want to get 60FPS 4K resolution, don't do that. Start off with 720p or 1080p. Heck, my laptop is 1080p and can run the latest Canary fine in Native Resolution. But for unofficial builds, I set it auto.

I already owned a n2DSXL and I play all of my games there and not on the emulator. If you're aiming for better quality and upscale, you're not enjoying yourself(not pointing to asferot though. I agree with him/her).
Now, enough talking about people having poor PC and demand a build that is suitable for them. We can move on and wait for the next 3DS games to arrive this Summer including Luigi's Mansion Remake and Bowser's Inside Story Remake and also Captain Toad port. For the Switch, I'm glad that they announced Smash Bros and Inkling as playable characters.

Here is my problem with whole idea of using high end PCs.
1. They are very expensive, and unless mommy or daddy buy you anything you want or you have an unbelievably well paying job most people can't afford to buy or even build one.
2. Emulators should be built and optimized to run on the lowest specs possible. I understand that Cemu and Citra are fairly new. I don't expect unbelievable optimized builds already. But the comments from users saying just go buy a better/newer pc are ridiculous.
3. There are not enough good games to justify spending that kind of money on a new pc just to play them when you can buy them and the console for a lot cheaper.

Irrelevant, that's how things work, if you want nicer things you have to buy them.

2. Emulators should be built and optimized to run on the lowest specs possible. I understand that Cemu and Citra are fairly new. I don't expect unbelievable optimized builds already. But the comments from users saying just go buy a better/newer pc are ridiculous.

The purpose of an emulator is to emulate the console as closely as possible, being able to play it at full speed is a bonus, and as time goes on the hardware capable of running it becomes more affordable and common, again that's how things work.

3. There are not enough good games to justify spending that kind of money on a new pc just to play them when you can buy them and the console for a lot cheaper.

And if you want to play the game right now, playing them on the original console is the best choice. Again, the purpose of an emulator is to keep the console alive after the original components become unusable and impossible to acquire.

If most emulators tried to be as accurate as possible, without concern for performance, we couldn't play anything past the SNES or maybe 5th gen consoles today.
I admire the efforts of byuu for example and I hope every console gets an accurate emulator, but I'm also glad that not everyone tries to be as perfect as higan (needs 3GHz+ for SNES). Given how glacial CPU development progressed in the last few years, it could take decades until anything recent ish would run on a Desktop PC.

And it's great that they're doing that, I wouldn't be able to play games in citra if that weren't the case, since my PC is not the best. But we get a lot of people who feel like they're entitled to an emulator that works great and runs smoothly in their weak hardware, all for free, which is bullshit.

So, I'm trying to run Pokémon Omega Ruby with the latest Canary build but I'm just getting a black screen. The framerate seems to be all over the place, going from 15 to 30, from 30 to 5, from 5 to 30 again and such.. and now it's stuck at 60 FPS.
Is anyone else getting this issue?

EDIT: Alright, TLoZ: OoT3D doesn't seems to be working correctly on my end either.
This time I've got a different and actually hilarious result though.

EDIT2: Welp, if I set Shader Emulation to CPU both games are working as usual, at least.

I got my Dad a firestick for Xmas and showed him those 3rd party sites on Kodi, he loves it, all he watches anymore. He said he has got 3 letters from AT&T already about pirating, but he says f them, let them shut my internet off (He wants out of his AT&T contract anyways)
