Anyway, anyone who would be nice enough to test this for me? (from HBC with the meta.xml in the same folder) :

It SHOULD
1 - create the sd:/bootmii folder
2 - dump the 0000000d.app file from IOS80 and the 00000003.app file from 1-512 into that folder
3 - turn the sensor bar on
4 - write several things onto the log (still trnx-log.txt) file on the SD card

Let me know how many of those things it actually ends up doing and post the contents of the log file (preferably in a spoiler)

In December I found out I had lost my bank card so I ordered a new one.
Bank has my parents' address in the US on file so the idea was they would send it to me once they received it.
BUT
My dad has my same first name (I go by my middle name) so some idiot bank employee probably just did a search by first and last name, saw the address was the same and sent my DAD a new bank card ... so had to call and get that cleared up.
NOW
It's been about 2 weeks since they finally got the RIGHT card and sent it which is about how long mail normally takes to get here so any day now.

(Transferred the money back to PayPal just in case until I have the card to avoid them "toadies" using my card which will constitute a little more wait time but getting close still.)

Do those 2 additional cores do anything right now?

They do SOMETHING (right now they're dumping their register values to memory in the above test) and'll do pretty much whatever they're told to. It's just not quite as easy to tell them what to do yet.

I believe Marcan mentioned side channel approach to what was "missing.". I'd bet they found it. Anyone looked into this? Like anything else, knowledge is power. Smp processors are prone to racing attacks:-). A person mentioned this on another website and I checked it out. All hardware has vulnerabilities. While I lack tools, I can read and get the "macro" view.

Guys, aside from carts and ode devices, the scenes died last gen. Cfw, drive flashing, hardware nand flashing, rgh devices, dual nand setups, info sharing, ways to get relevent info, etc.

Per console keys, encrypted memory, etc; programs ran that were automatically finding/providing those keys. Bottom line is Vita, 3ds, Wii U and other devices were hacked. I've seen phones "unhackable" like omap devices but kexec redirected boot chain to allow custom firmware. Other devices do homebrew functions easier and really aside from cheat devices like action replay and ways to do what wiiloader type programs do...why? Emulators exist for anything out there.

Making an sdk is asinine and tortuous when the actual sdk is not shared. I wish groups would keep it private instead of bragging. Hacking scene is watered down.

Good luck Max et al. Good experience but ultimately futile. Especially when even ode makers have passed on the Wii U. Sorry, the truth is plain as day.

I was "in the know" for 360 rgh. If people tried to monopolize info then others shared it for free. On neogaf it seems the rules apply equally and people have great conversations. Takes forever to get "activated." On another site ran by a guy who was banned here you can defend yourself short of threats. I understand why some people avoid those sites. I have not read replies yet for my last post.


I suggested bans for info trolls on another site . Not talking about typical trolls but "Get everyone excited" trolls. No go:-( I feel bad for max. Some help, but many exaggerated abilities. Seeing three cores is awesome...but I doubt Wii U will have more than maybe two years left. I fully support Maxternal...but reality sucks.

Edit: reality. 3 core showing, now smp? way to get more ram beyond vWii limitations? Possibly get access to Wii U gpu "side"? Supposedly cannot much without Wii U exploit. No way to recover from brick and shared way to read nand means testing is limited. IIt is not really close unless linux sees cores and has smp that "works.". Not delusional.

Actually, right now, things seem to be on schedule. System released, 1 year later a hacking group at a convention show off that they have cracked it, and now is the lull where we wait for an exploit/SDK.
