'Control 2' is in development for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S

In an investors announcement today, Remedy has confirmed what it previously hinted at: a sequel to Control. Control 2, which was formerly known as Codename Heron, will be co-developed and co-published by Remedy and 505 Games using Remedy’s proprietary Northlight engine. It will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. However, the game is said to be in its concept stage, so a launch is still far off.

No switch cloud edition this time .

Good. The OG switch needs to be put to pasture. The more developers and publishers reject the switch for its underpowered specs...the more likely Nintendo is going to get off their ass and release a successor with a better SOC and internals.

They usually wait for sales and interest to plateau before they innovate or announce any successor.

The huge user base is too tempting for them, they won't stop releasing anything they can for it.. and then people still buy it even if it's the worst version. Nintendo will probably move on next year, but why should they when they can just release a slightly different themed Switch every few months and people still buy them.

I wonder if they'll diversify the setting, it seems like the entire game takes place in that same shiny brutalist-style building. I get that that's kinda the point of the game, but where's the SOVL

Control, AKA GPU Test Suite
I can't wait to see how this plays out on a 4TFlops GPU with only 8GB of RAM available for gaming on the Xbox Series S.

I remember that the first game on Xbox Series S already ran at a lower resolution than PS4 Pro and Xbox One X versions and was the only next-gen version without ray tracing or 60fps mode.

Max Payne remake, Alan Wake 2, Control 2. Remedy on a spree. Not a big fan of Control, but will take a look at the second one.
