@mattytrog can you help with flashing Hikate onto switchme
Download the files from https://github.com/Aboshi/SwitchME
Open the readme file and you will have the instructions.
I had a look at this before mate and found a bit confusing.
Tell me if I'm on right track. Is it just a case of installing swtch me. Connecting switch via usb, then using switch me board manager and running hikate?
Pretty much. Or, you can disconnect D+ & D-, attach to a USB cable with GND and flash that way.
You can use the generic UF2 chainloader. Just drag and drop...

Install the switchme board.Cool the switch needs to be in RCM mode before the pc board manager will recognise right?
Here’s my D.I.Y external dongle.
Made with a Trinket M0 and CR2032 Breakout with on/off switch.

I bought the coin cell at the supermarket (1 euro for 2 cells)
I had an old playstation 2 memory card and tought that I could do something with it.
The others parts (micro-screws, some plastic buttons) found in the « electronic mess » I always keep.
I used solder paste (Low temp Maker Paste from IC Breakout) and Awg 30 Kynar for tiny soldering.
I had to adjust the case, made some holes, sand down buttons, so everything could fit as nicely as I could.
Quite the result I expected and working flawlessly with the wonderful UF2 multi-payloads done by @mattytrog
Still to do... some little stickers
Thank you coming from you makes me very happyNice job young man. Nice job indeed.

No. Double-press reset when in Horizon (switch OS)
the only issue you will face with this is the chip will continuously draw power even when the switch is off. so if left for a long time it will deplete the battery which isn't good for the cells... hence why we have moved to a 3.3v points. Check Mattys thread, has some excellent photos and other points to solder to.Hi guys.
Need some help. So I attempted mod chip and was under no illusion I wouldn't be able to do it after I started. Whether it was my tools , I was too nervous to go forward.
So I found someone to do it , only he didn't use the four wire diagram I provided ( from this site) and found something off eBay instead... It sounds mad I know . See below.
Please, i need to know will I run into any problems with this install?? @mattytrog
