Hardware Did anyone else notice that the neon red/blue joycons vary between prepackaged console and retail

so i didn't notice it until today but the colors of the retail neon red/blue joy cons are switched compared to the prepackaged ones from the console.

Yes. I prefer the left red and right blue because I've had them for longer... but that's just me.

I like that they did that, since people with a retail neon switch can get a neon blue/neon red pair.

Weird, I thought that was common knowledge at this point. That’s the reason why you can have same-colored left and right Joy-Cons.

Also interesting fact that in Australia and Japan (and maybe Europe), the Neon controllers are pink on right and green on left.
America is the opposite with pink on left and green on right

I've known since release. I believe it's so people with a neon switch can buy it and then have a pair of blue and a pair of red

It was mentioned here back when the Switch was just released, so I've known since then.
I guess they want to keep the ones bundled with the console somewhat exclusive.
