Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot trailer shows off the Cell Saga, confirms Trunks as playable character

Dragon Ball fans will fondly relive their memories of the anime series' Cell Saga, in Bandai Namco's latest trailer for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. In this video, which was aired during Gamescom 2019, the events leading up to the fight against the Androids and Cell are shown off, with segments featuring Goku and Gohan. Yet another Saiyan was also confirmed to be playable, as Trunks joins the ARPG's character lineup. Two more details were also revealed during Gamescom: the filler arcs from the DBZ anime, such as the iconic Goku and Piccolo driving episode, will be recreated in Dragon Ball: Kakarot, and series creator Akira Toriyama has designed a new character specifically for the game; a former Ginyu Squad member called Ponyu. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will release in early 2020, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Damn this looks simply amazing I can tell the sagas will be detailed down to every event and not rushed like other DB games

Im hoping they do all of DBZ instead of part of it. Buu saga rarely gets represented when it's from the beginning

There's clearly a mistake in the title of game, should called be Dragon Ball Z Kakarotto or even better "Doragon Bōru Zetto Kakarotto". American dub is known for fake names/name changing, any other language dub version is better

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.
