I recently got the idea to flash my Xbox 360 Lite-On drive, but I was wondering if I could do it with this setup instead of buying an adapter. The only thing plugged in is the sata cable to the pc. No power adapter to the xbox. My idea is to use the xbox to power the DVD drive. I just want to know if I could do this.

Is it the 14ds or 15ds if its a 15ds it can not be flashed. Other than that it won't be much of a problem to do what you are currently doing. @DinohScene would know more than I do
i looked on the drive and saw 14c, manufactured jan 2011. so it wouldnt be a problem to plug in the xbox 360 with the sata plugged into my computer?

You'll need a compatible SATA chipset to even recognize the drive in windows.

Slim drives have a high chance of being locked after the 13599 update which coincidentally reflashed all the drives to update the firmware.
Worst case scenario, you'll have to drill into a chip in order to unlock it.

Honestly, you're better off getting a second hand phatty 360 if you want to burn backups.
Or you could opt to dump the firmware of the slim and install an Xkey.
That way you won't have to deal with trying to make perfect burns.

Or just buy a blank drive pcb, use rgh to get your DVD key, I'd try to flash a Trinity drive with my jasper key, just to see what happens, slims imho have the best drives in terms of vibration and noise

Auto xbins is your friend

Usually when such a big title leaks the Temp will be the first to report about it (going off of historical reports here, Pokemon SV being the latest one I can recall seeing pop up here)

I want a 120hz 4k tv but crazy how more expensive the 120hz over the 60hz are. Or even more crazy is the price of 8k's.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
No real point since movies are 30fps
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Not a big movie buff, more of a gamer tbh. And Series X is 120hz 8k ready, but yea only 120hz 4k games out right now, but thinking of in the future.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Mostly why you never see TV manufacturers going post 60hz
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I got my Dad a firestick for Xmas and showed him those 3rd party sites on Kodi, he loves it, all he watches anymore. He said he has got 3 letters from AT&T already about pirating, but he says f them, let them shut my internet off (He wants out of his AT&T contract anyways)
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I just use a VPN, even give him my login and password so can use it also, and he refuses, he's funny.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I had to find and get him an old style flip phone even without text, cause thats what he wanted. No text, no internet, only phone calls. Old, old school.
