emuiibo - MitM'ing NFP services for Amiibo emulation

Hi everyone!

I noticed there was a project called switch-nfp-mitm, which had lots of forks, but none of them properly working (people reported it barely worked, and with some games), thus I decided to try to fix it, or to improve it as much as I could. Well, the results were that good, that I've just managed to get it working perfectly, even with a nice system of combos for Amiibo swapping, in just 2 days.

So, well, here's the result:

emuiibo

emuiibo is a virtual amiibo (amiibo emulation) system for Nintendo Switch!

It consists on a background process (and service), which intercepts Nintendo Switch's internal NFC/NFP services to support virtual amiibo emulation, plus an overlay to easily control it.

Have fun playing around with custom virtual amiibos!

Well, since a lot of users complained it didn't work on 8.0.x, until the fix came out, I think that's not the case...

@XorTroll?

Just tested it, works fine, you must have some old files causing issues.

Why buy more stuff when this literally costs nothing?

Because those are your options if you want to stay on TX and amiibo-emulation remains unsupported. Not too long ago, people bought tags even though they were on Atmosphere. You paid for TX, so it isn't ridiculous to think you'd be in the market for something like he suggested. Insinuating that he wasn't thinking clearly...

I compiled all code from github yesterday. Newest emuiibo, Newest amiiswap and newest libstratosphere...

What other sysmodules do you have running? I remember once that I had too many modules active a while back, and didn't realize that the lack of memory for sysmodules causes others to not load. Just for verification, turn off all other modules and try again.

I have none enabled...

Just tested it myself, and yes I have the same issue as you.

I guess the newest version is not officially supported yet.

EDIT: Nope it started working but now reading freezes my system. Reading on smash gets the screen completely stuck, and same for BotW.

EDIT2: Downgraded and now it's telling me I cannot use this amiibo. I'm guessing that's because of mismatched files from downgrading. Oh well.

When will we get an update that works with 8.0+? I'm still staying on 7.0.1 right now solely for emuiibo actually, but amiibo writing and toggling in-game and most of all 8.0 support sounds damn sweet, i can't wait

Hey! Would you mind telling me how you manage to stay downgraded without constant update prompts? I'm facing the same dilemma with emuiibo.

The build you posted doesn't work on 8.0.1.

It simply doesn't work in any games, and in Smash it gets stuck on "Reading Amiibo"

EDIT: Guess i upgraded for no reason. Will be downgrading.

Yup, that's why I removed it the first time. It certainly does run on 8.0.1, you can see the mii data is generated and it does work sometimes, but as reported by others it does freeze the game more often than not. I'd wait for an actual update, which is probably coming soon. XorTroll just updated goldleaf with some emuiibo stuff.

Hi. I need some help. Using the recently posted build I have had great results using my emulated amiibo in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. However, problems arise when I attempt to use multiple amiibo at the same time - it has not yet been something I've proven to be able to do. Does anybody know what I should do to rectify this? I am using AmiiSwap, but that has not assisted either.

Wait for an update, the version I compiled has some issues.
