Hi guys. I have long made myself a host for 5.05 according to this instruction. But I decided to update it to the new GoldenHen and there was a problem. Any GoldenHen version 2.x does not start. Constantly running out of memory. Can you tell me how to get around this problem?

newer goldhen has some issues, so maybe try an older version. all goldhen have bugs though, more than normal hen anyway.

@laz305 and @Prb
I decided to try my hand at making my own bin file.

I followed your tut and downloaded all the required files etc. The problem that I encountered was that there was no 'ESP8266 Sketch Data Upload' in the Tools menu.

I uninstalled everything, and tried again. Same result.

I had downloaded and installed Arduino 2.01.

This version does not support extension tools, as per a question posted on the Arduino forum web site regarding the use of ESP8266FS.

There is no support for extension tools such as the ones you mention at this time so you should continue to use Arduino IDE 1.8.x when you need a tool.

I downloaded 1.8.19 and everything works fine

I hope this will assist any others who try to make their own bin files.

Thanks I hoped that would solve my problem but I still can't make a bin file. I have tried using 400000, 110000 nothing works
DPS49.00ESP32-S2SGK v2 ESP32esptool.exe --chip esp32s2 --port COM3 --baud 921600 read_flash 0x0 0x110000 myhost.bin
esptool.py v4.1
Serial port COM3
Connecting...
Chip is ESP32-S2FNR2
Features WiFi, Embedded Flash 4MB, Embedded PSRAM 2MB, ADC and temperature sensor calibration in BLK2 of efuse V1
Crystal is 40MHz
MAC 84f703d7eae8
Uploading stub...
Running stub...
Stub running...
Changing baud rate to 921600
Changed.
327680 (29 %)

I flash everything to the board just fine and everything works but just can't build bin file

If you change to much in the sketch you can have issues dumping it
but you can still build a bin using the older method with flash_download_tool_3.9.2
just need offsets from Arduino

I personally handled a call from the second highest person at Raytheon. That call bothered me a lot... The guy was nice and smart what bothered me was the way management basically just blew him off instead of going the extra mile to help him.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
In the end that call ended up costing Dell millions in lost contracts with Raytheon, and really the issue could have been solved for like 450 bucks lol

I always thought that capcom shuffled the games in these collection, but apparently they are all in chronological order, which makes legacy collection 2 worthless
