Hacking Exploits only seem to work on Apache Wamp and not on any other webserver

I've been able to load exploits on my Wii U via Apache WAMP but not trough other means. I've tried the Java HaxServer, Python's SimpleHTTPServer project, I've tried the NodeJS http-server project, I've written an Express app and I've tried some other portable webservers. None of these allowed me to run the exploit. They all just froze when the mp4player was launched.

Has anyone had the same problem and or do you know why this happens and how to fix this?

Thanks in advance,

Dann

What he said.

On Windows, IIS is the way to go. It just werks.
It is made for Windows, so I can never understand all the need for anything other than IIS, at least on a Windows setup. It's easily installed and easily configured. The only thing I had to fix, was adding the MIME Types for MP4 and Elf files, which is easy as hell to do.

If the OP has Mac OS or Linux, then I could understand the need for something else though.

Using python's server just makes my wii u keep crashing for me.. Are you on a NTSC or PAL Wii U. Thought it might had something to do with the fact that my Wii U was PAL..
What is your OS? If it is Windows, I can easily walk you through installing/enabling IIS on your system and setting it up.

I want to run a little server written in Node JS on my Raspberry Pi so I really wanted to get it to work on ExpressJS or NodeJS but thank you anyway :P
I'm thinking of just writing it in PHP instead since that is supported by XAMP/WAMP which works

You don't need PHP nor python, you can use a static webserver
True but I want to add some features like making it auto detect new files and stuff. I was going to port bin2mp4 to NodeJS but since it doesn't seem to even serve mp4 files the way the wii u likes it there is little to no point of porting it

Well that changes everything.

Just port Windows to run on your Pi, that shouldn't be too hard. :D

How could I be so foolish, Thanks for your advice :yayu:.

But does anyone know why this is the case :P
That also just freezes my Wii U.. It seems that I am the only one to have this problem which is extremely annoying :( I'm on a PAL Wii U 5.5.1 I've tried clearing cookies and I've tried launching multiple servers a crap ton of time but none of em do the job except for Apache WAMP :/ It's really weird that that server works and the rest just don't. I've also found out that non-selfhosted servers that are not hosted on Apache don't work for me either.. Really weird

Just find whatever file you want to run (compiled bin) use bin2mp4 (make sure you select 5.5.1 under target in bin2mp4) and then self host the mp4 with HFS. Done.
HFS also doesn't work for me. It freezes at the exact same time as the other webservers (When the little blue circle appears around the button in the bottom right corner) and I'm already using bin2mp4 on Apache WAMPserver
Why is my wii u suck a picky son of a bitch god plz

Does that mean we can use those WiFi enabled SD cards ? ( I Have a wifi enabled toshiba SD card... ). I was going to do all the hassle of a proxy or a filtering on the router but if what you say is true then I'll be really happy...

Thank you. Grazie mille.
