Hello!

I got the EZ Flash Omega Definitive Edition and tried several Pokemon games but not any of them keep the save.
Don't really know whats going on. I am using a 2GB Kingston µSD (formatted as FAT *now) and updated the kernel to its new firmware.
Anyone know how to fix the issue?

Many thanks!

I tried Flora Sky and it seems to save at first, but the next time it corrupts. I only tried Pokémon games first. Will try other.

The previous owner said it worked well. Honestly I don't know why the chip could fail tho. Are there any other reasons?

To check if there is a problem with the sd card, you can save the game and load it from the game menu or within the game without rebooting.

If this always works well, it can be seen that the operation of saving FRAM to SD or loading from SD to FRAM fails.

After writing a game on NOR FLASH, you can test it by MODE B.

This lets you know if the FRAM retains its storage even when the power is off. So it will be more accurate.

Here is a small update: after waiting a bit more than 5 seconds it keeps the save. After soft resetting to the menu it asks for auto saving the .sav file. I chose yes and after loading the game again it still has the save.

However, if I turn the GBA off and back on, I get another prompt to auto save the save file of the game I previously loaded, but this time it result in a corruption of the save.

Running the game writes save file to FRAM, so you can test this.

1. Prepare a good save file.
2. Run game
3. When game is running, turn off gba and back up and delete the save file on the sd card.
4. Re-mount sd card and turn on gba.
5. Save on the save selection screen and turn off gba.
6. Compare save file on the sd card with backup file.

If you upload two files here, I can check them out.
