WARNING !!! if you have a console with 4.1.0 firmware DO NOT UPDATE YET. Fusée Gelée was patched on new units, but Deja Vu still works. You may not be able to use homebrew at the moment, but it will be possible in the future. Please refer to this thread for more information on how to detect these new patched consoles by their serial number.

This thread should be stickied. It's not cluttered, it has all the information on firmwares you ever needed, it's just GOOD.
Not like it'd make a difference. Is it going to continuously be updated as each new firmware comes out?... And for how long? I honestly don't think such a thread needs stickied.

Can you count how many people ask about whether to update or not per day?

You can count those same people and more as those that don't read stickied threads.

This is nice to have in the forum as reference for the non-idiots, but Switch - Hacking & Homebrew already has 6 sticky posts, which is quite cluttered. And more importantly, even if we had a way to force everyone to read this post as a prerequisite for starting a new thread, we'd still get the daily "I'm on firmware x.xx how do I install Wii U iso on Switch" threads.

Has anyone said yet that this should be stickied?
Nope, you're the first.

In all seriousness, we need ONE regularly updated stickied megathread. Rather than a handful maintained by 1 person each that stops being updated or even relevant after so long.

Isn't it better to stay on 2.x since 3.0 got the battery bug?

Yeah im staying on 2.x, would be funny if TX's solderless mod was for 1.x - 2.x and 3.x on wards required a solder job... Lets just sit ad wait :)

@Xdqwerty there is health behaviour you can add to your character, then to use a health bar is lil more complicated, google n watch a few tutorial video on it, be too hard to explain here.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the character has the health behavior
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I know you have to create a health and health max variable. Then there is a calculation you use in code to subtract width size of the health bar. Google few vids.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the "greenflatbar" is one of the preset health bars btw
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you can use any bar/sprite. It will just change the width. Ok good luck and have fun. I'm off to go shoot some pool at the bar. Talk to you later.
    +1
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why does the health behavior exist if you can just use a variable?
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
and nope the number still doesnt change
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
ok im gonna make my own asset
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
nvm i think i fixed it
