When I inserted the disc into my Wii U and opened the game up I realized my old save data was gone, although I don't recall deleting save data of games i still own and there's also no reason for that given the fact that my Wii U still has 16GB free space. But then I looked into the Data Management in the Settings and saw that there is a save from 2014. But if I start the game it seems to only use the “Shared save data”, but not the one associated with my Wii U account (no I didn't really change that either — except for my Mii).
My WiiU is homebrewed, so if anyone knows a way to make it read the save via that (maybe put my save data into the shared one?) would be awesome.
