The Smash GameCube controllers have a pretty long cable length but even those have become rather pricey. I don't know why the prices have increased all of the sudden since Nintendo didn't announce anything.

I sorta regret not buying the white Smash controller when it was cheap. Oh well, have four (2x Smash black, 1x GC black, 1x GC orange).

The four white NGC controllers I have are first batch originals marketed with the "Wii Family", not Smash version one's, (might upload a pic later). I've also have two blue emerald NGC controllers (they're beautiful!).

And yes, if you find one now they're expensive! So again, it might be (almost) the time to sell the four I have.

Nintendo will probably do a new batch of the GameCube controllers when Smash 4 Deluxe or Smash 5 is released.

So I accidentaly purchased a mayflash adapter with only 2 ports. Will it accept the Pokken enabling firmware? Does anyone else have one of those?

If it has a switch on the back to turn it to PC Mode it should work just as well.

Anyone know if there are any plans to update the adapter to work with all 4 ports, or atleast 2, if using the duo instead of the quad? I'm considering getting one of either of them, but if it only works for 1, it'd kinda be pointless.....

Well, Got the mayflash adapter since it IS cheaper than the official nintendo one and ALSO works on PC (I got smash 4 by that time), so I have even MORE free controllers to play with!!!!
(that and the NES30pro and I am set for 4 multiplayer mayhem!)
Guess I didn't need to pay for the Pro controller after all. that USB mess that Nintendo is been going on is sure all but bliss.

thanks for the news dude, but I guess nobody even imaginated that it did happen. and BOY it was fast to boot.

I think it's because the Switch is HID compilant, since joy-cons connect to the PC, so I guess that's why.

I'll be keeping my Switch Pro Controller as it's one amazing controller but I do reckon there'll be people who will be selling theirs due to the various controllers they can use on the Switch.

Games that require motion control and such - Joy-Cons
Every other non-demanding game - HORI Pokkén, 8 Bitdo, GameCube

There's a good chance we'll be able to play Super Mario Odyssey with a GameCube controller. :)

My Steam Controller arrived today and it does not work on the switch. It connects fine over wired, but no inputs are recognized.

Saw some on Google images, though. Would it actually work? Who knows, only by testing it.

I don't know if DINPUT is what the switch uses to connect after all as the steam controller is supposed to support DINPUT.

Maybe other controllers that have a DINPUT setting would work, but I currently do not have any to test.

Wow.... Maybe there'll be custom Arduino USB Switch controllers soon. With all this drama with the 8bitdo, and now the NGC adapter.
