Gba Sp battery can be changed

It's a great news for everyone like me that was worried about replacing it,
no need to send the console to Nintendo when it dries out.

Well there is a need to send it to Nintendo, as your warranty is voided if you remove the cover says so in the manual

i dont think that the warranty lasts years, and the battery will need to be replaced in 2 or 3years ..

Rechargeable batteries have a limited number of recharges...
after that number, they'll start losing power...

i have to say this in portuguese, because i can't find the right words in english...

já deves ter reparado que as baterias dos telemoveis se viciam não?
o mesmo acontece com qualquer bateria recarregavel... depois de um certo numero de cargas, elas começam a perder power, e o tempo de vida começa a descer (tipo ao inicio com um carga a bateria durava 10 horas, ao fim de um certo numero de cargas só dura 9h, mais umas centenas de cargas e dura 8h, e assim sucessivamente...)

Just buy a pair of rechargeable batteries, and a charger instead...

also, like so many other gameboys, there will probably be more colors of them in Japan which people will buy, which means that they won't be warrantied anyway
