In the last month/month and a half, the Switch Scene has moved a lot. Currently there are a lot of different ways to enter into RCM [1], and a growing list of methods to send the payload to the Switch [2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9].
Right now for uploading the payload, a PC [1], Mac [10], Raspberry Pi (3 and 0)[11], and Android phones. Team Xecuter is also releasing a dongle with this purpose.
There's loads of posts written about all that, and I don't want to make a redundant post (especially when there's an excellent post just explaining it in detail [12]). I'm just wondering if it should be interesting to standardise all this a bit. And with that I mean finding the cheapest, smallest, more convenient way to do it, without paying to TX.
Could be a Raspberry Pi Zero with a couple of buttons (one to start the script, the other one to safely turn off the Pi) a good option? There's another option even more convenient (Android phones), but not everybody uses Android. Could be the Teensy another option? It has been suggested in the past, but it seems nobody has managed to effectively make it to manage the payload.
What do you think?
