That's correct. If you used the new greenpois0n, drop that animate file into /usr/bin and set the right permissions and you'll get the animated boot logo. Remove it, and you'll have the stock Apple logo.

Yup. Well, I removed the one from greenpois0n and it shows the original. I put it back, it works.

Even made a little script that remove the boot-logo for those who want the original boot-logo. Should be in Cydia soon.

Ok, I've tried it on an iPad and an iPod touch 3g (real 3g). They both boot untethered, and my ipad was previously tethered. The animated boot logo only appears on the iPod, not the iPad. I'm going to try the thing I mentioned previously to see if the logo is displayed.
