I was about to ask why is it crashing on latest firmware and atmosphere but I guess I just got my answer B-), will try it tomorrow.

In the meantime, as I already logged in - I would love to say "Thank you" to person who is ported it. I would love to play Ashes 2063 mod on Switch. Doom in general is very important game and you are doing great job. Keep up the good work.

We cannot let the legend die, both coders and players :teach:. All the best to everyone :toot:.

Sorry for the noobish question, but is there an easy way to turn the mouselook sensitivity down or off? I've been trying to do it and it doesn't seem like it's registering that I've changed anything.

First, thanks alot for this wonderful port! I really appreciate your hard work.
Second, how can we get ipk3 files to work?
I'm trying to play Alien Breed 3D (yes, the beloved Amiga game) with GZDoom but can't see it in the menu. I've put it in IWADS or PWADS or main directory but nothing hepled. Any clues?

How do I load other wads? I run the app but it auto loads Doom 2 for me with no options to choose others.
Load with the HBM NSP
Go to the Red GZDoom Launcher
Move Down to which Doom Base Game you want (in my case Doom II )
Press the R1 Button to move to Files
select each Line of Custom Files you want (My case Brutalv21+ UDV_2.13_A_Base)
Press Start Button ( + )
Depending on what you are Loading, it may take up to a Minute.

Is that this? the udv thing? Cuz I was looking at this earlier tonight. Or just a less up to date version?
Im a bit confused at all the files there in that section which I need for full experience.
And for your UDV_3.0_A_BASE. do you rename the zip to pk3? that right?

No, I extracted the .pk3 File. I think if it was left as ZIP, it would take MUCH longer to Load everything.

Suggest the Dev create a GZDoom NSP File.

Alien Breed 3D supported bridges (floors upon other floors), Doom doesn't, so it will never be faithful to the Amiga original.

Unless somebody recreates it in Quake engine, but you can just use an Amiga emu to play it.

Extracted pk3 file? Now im really confused. When you say left as zip it would take much longer to load everything that means you did convert the zip to pk3? Or are you really meaning to say you have renamed to pk3, and THEN extracted those files somewhere?
Btw if I understand correctly this is a HUD file? Can be used with project brutality and brutal doom together?

Also is it possible to set a profile to use mutiple wads? I can only see how you setup mutiple PK3. But only single wads. Or just make one entry for each wad? Because certain wads need mutiple wad to operate.

BTW I got an error when starting GZdoom, that I have too many entries (32 max) I counted in the ini but I only have 28 actual entries and when I go in the app I count 23 actual entries visible (eventhough I can still go down out of screen). Any idea?
Extracted the PK3 File from the ZIP File.

Put Games in the iwads Folder, then put Mods in the pwads Folder.

When you are Selecting Custom Content items, it will list only items in the pwads Folder. Select which ones you want to use, then go to the next one. When done, hit Start ( + )
NOTE - For Brutal Doom or Brutal Wolfenstein, only certain Add-Ons can work.

Also, USB Keyboards can also function as intended for Codes ( idkfa, iddqdd ) I swear there was a way to bring up a Keyboard, though.

Thanks for reply. Did you check the page for the AB3D file? It's enough to play it with gzdoom. I played it on PC with gzdoom, would love to play on my Switch on the go too. ;)

Im trying brutality v21 with project brutality latest from the github.
Brutality solo loads, and project brutality too, but can't load together :(

Think it depends on the Version. Some Content can not be used together for some reason.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Watching the Video - Yeah, they are 2 different Mods, that possibly do not run together.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
