I would suggest to make a new folder with latest hakchi pure for snesHello all,
Long time lurker, first time poster here. I'll try and make this short and simple:
I know a lot of you added RetroArch with Sega games, etc, but I have both NES & SNES Classics and want to put only NES games on the NES and SNES games on the SNES. I currently have Hakchi2 version 2.11 and am pretty happy with how simple the older version is.
I have about 120 games on my NES classic that I added in .nes format to Hakchi2. If I add more than 123 games, I get an error that reads: “There are too many ROMs to tranfer them at once. Please wait until power led goes out, press OK and follow instructions to continue.”
I'm happy with having about 120 games and don't plan on adding too many more over time. My first question is: Is this a compression issue? I've read people adding 700+ games with no problems.
My second question is: I want to mod my SNES Classic but don't know how to go about it when I already have an (much) older version (2.11) of Hakchi2 for my NES.
I'm a noob so I'm not very good at doing things like this and am afraid I'll brick my system or lose data of some sort.
Can someone please help me with a real simple explanation of this?
Oh excellent, awaiting for your post.also what is this "canoe" thing I keep seeing?there is a compatibility list. Lemmie see if I can find it.

Canoe is the stock emulator the SNES Classic uses.Oh excellent, awaiting for your post.also what is this "canoe" thing I keep seeing?
You need the new version of Hakchi2 version 2.20.15 to use it on the SNES Classic. From what I can tell it should be the same as what you are already using except that it will work for both the NES and SNES Classic.Hello all,

That is the name of the built-in emulator for the SNES Classic.Oh excellent, awaiting for your post.also what is this "canoe" thing I keep seeing?

Thanks a lot! worked perfectly. Everything is perfect now, hakchi is quite amazingRemoving the row of Mini box art is know to slow down the loading of the menu. If you put those back, it should go back to being fast again.
You'll have to update to the newest version so you're basically going to have to start over. You can check out the video in my signature on the entire process. It's really easy.
Here's the compatibility list:
Correct. Except this time you will need to add the retroarch mod to play the nes games. So just delete the original (NES) Hakchi folder with everything in it?
I still have all my NES ROMs saved so I'm assuming I just delete the folder, download the newest Hakchi (that should work with both consoles) and add NES ROMS for NES and SNES ROMS for SNES?
Oh yeah that is just for the stock emulator. Retroarch has a very high compatibility with just about every snes game there is. You're going to want to install the snes9x2010 module for near complete compatibility. You are the man. But I don't see anything about retroarch in there. Would retroarch fix things like wrestlemania arcade game graphical glitches?
If you don't like it, just toggle "My Game Play Demo" off on the SNES Classic. What is the size of the savefiles with native emulator, and with retroarch?
Are there pixel arts for sleepmode like in Nes Mini?
@Cluster: would it be possible to make "Something like "My Game Play Demo" support for SNES Classic Mini. It will not replay your gameplay but it will load your random save-state and show it for some time" optional? I rather have nothing than this, personally (because for a gameplay mode, what we would see would be a character doing nothing, or dying in most games ). (But the idea is good nonetheless ).
Correct. Except this time you will need to add the retroarch mod to play the nes games.
Oh NES Classic? Then just add emEven if I just want only NES games on the NES Classic?
If so, how do I add retroarch?
Rewind data takes up a lot of space. It uses the data from your save states so you'd have to remove them to make more room. So, I know it's been asked but how much can we fill the SNES classic?
I have 132 games and not planning on adding more, but I'm wondering about the rewind datas. Or is that the reason we have 236MB rather than 300MB like the NES Classic?
Oh NES Classic? Then just add em

I always thought that first chunk missing was due to the original 21 along with box art.I know, that's exactly why I'm asking. as of now I have 211MB/236MB...
