I want to sell my Wii U but I want to know how I could remove this. If I can't what is the best thing I can do?

Pretty sure it isn't possible. When you remove the NNID it usually warns you it'll remove content. That and if someone else attaches an NNID, the console will throw an error saying the application isn't authorized. Maybe if it stayed offline permanently.

I just remember the NNID was linked to the WiiU system itself.

Don't really know your end game.

From Nintendo itself:

Well, I was planning on selling my Wii U to get a switch. My biggest problem is that I want my games to be included with the sale.

Unless you have a ton of games and other items, what I ended up doing was just include the NNID in the sale. Just gave them the login info and let them change the e-mail so they could keep the content. Though if you have other consoles attached to the NNID, this may not be feasible.

Not on your own. Nintendo might be willing to do something.
A format deactivates the licenses, but keeps them tied to the same console.

NNIDs are limited to one 3DS family system, and one Wii U. They cannot sign into any other system without some kind of transfer.

I'm in the same boat as u. I own 75 digital games for the wii u. I wish I had gone physical with many of them, but I was too lazy to get up and change discs. I could've sold them off for money which I desperately need atm. I'm just going to keep the games.

Cruisn on the Wii is one of my personal examples of that, it's considered one of the worst games of all time, I loved it and completed it several times.

The trick for me was to go into the settings and crank up the Wiimote sensitivity to the max and it gets twitchy but you can win that way lol
