It’s because you are on SXOS
Or you’re not player 1
Or your AMS is very old

there's a FAQ section and a section that explains Player 2-8 cheats because all cheats are written for player 1 you never said if you are player 1

Hello, i have a little issue with the overlay, when i launch the game, all cheats are enabled by default, how do i fix this ?

Edit : Fixed it with the config file which wasn't in the right folder x)

I don't know of a way to fix that besides just manually turning off cheats before you load your save (in the start game screen.) I recommend not using too many cheats at once because it's kind of glitchy with the overlay anyway. I only use cheats that can all be turned on at once without interfering with each other.

Also (unrelated to your question), I updated the build ID last night. This method of installing cheats is still working for me on 7/3 with atmosphere 13.0 and switch firmware 10.0.4.

Are you running AMS?

Open system_settings.ini with a text editor

dmnt_cheats_enabled_by_default = u8!0x1

to

dmnt_cheats_enabled_by_default = u8!0x0

Your game should start with all cheats off.

Optional for changing overlay controls: Create a file called config.ini in the /config/tesla folder. Then paste the following text in there replacing <COMBO> with your desired button combination, for example L + DDOWN + RS In this case, pressing L, D-Pad Down and the right stick will open the Tesla menu. Possible key names are: A, B, X, Y, DLEFT, DRIGHT, DUP, DDOWN, LS, RS, MINUS, PLUS, SL, SR, L, R, ZL, ZR Separate different keys that should be help simultaneously with a plus ( + ) sign.
