I'd hate to brag, and I'm not trying to, but, I found a glitch where I updated the switch to 4.0.1 and there was a update for SMO, so did that. Then when I opened it, it DIDN'T check the internet to see if it would unlock! Try this and see if this works for you!

We got our cartridges since Oct. 24 here, the SMO update were there and you can update SMO w/o update to 4.0.1. Also in Japan it's Oct. 27 for hours, it's normal you can play it.
