Hello,
there are some 2D sidescrolling plattformer out there with weird design decissions, in which the character is running nearly
at the right edge of the screen so its impossible to react for incoming enemys.
I'm looking for a way to edit those games via hex (or a tool maybe?) and move the char or the following camera a little bit
more to the left.

I was actually planning to upload pictures to make it fairly clear, but unfortunately it is not possible for forum noobs.

Only games where theoretically it's possible are those made in GameMaker. All other games will require Reverse Engineering executables or romfs files.

You can break up the urls a bit and have others reassemble them if you want.

As was mentioned then while you can change the camera (Switch hacks at present control everything from the boot on upwards so no worries about hacking a game) it is more than likely going to be something on the more involved side of things. There have been cheats to mess with the cameras of various games on various consoles but they often also have some unintended side effects (though by all means try).

I should also link the following as it is a nice discussion of 2d camera types and might help you either word what you want better, or make you aware of what you are likely looking for.
