How come it is said "five dollars" but when you write/type it the "$" goes before the "5" that makes it "dollar five"?????

How come we round up from "5"?

6.7.8.9.10 (5)
Nice and even, makes since!

5.6.7.8.9.10 (6)
WTF!?

How come it is not proper to use the letter "u" to spell the word "you", all it does it get rid of the useless "YO" those are silent anyway!?

HELP MEEEEEE!

You don't say "dollar five"? Everyone else does.

You don't round up from 10, so your diagrams are misleading. Try this:
010

As for why we round up from five, it's in the bible. We'll go to hell if we don't.

Still no since

It's because 5 is half of ten, so you would round up because, well thats the rule :wtf: If you are already half way there, why would you round down? ex: lets take the number 51. You would round UP to 100 because 100-51=49/51-0=51. 49 is less, so its closer to 100. Hope that makes sense. And I don't really understand your question about the word you

edit: another thing you have to think about, is when you say 1.2.3.4 is only 4, you have to think about 1-9. ehh how should I say this. okay the 1 would be 10-19 the 2 would be 20-29 the 3 would be 30-39 and the 4 would be 40-49. now BEFORE the 1, you still are missing 1-9, which would be the 5th you are talking about. lol i'm not good at explaining

Yes it would, because the 5 is the total number and dollars are the unit of measurement so to speak. You don't say your Feet 5 Inches 2 tall do you? You don't say something is Miles 5 away. It's logic.

Dollar sign goes first because it's a standard in currencies, the sign goes first before the number, it immediately gives you an idea that the subject is about money and so that you can see what currency the price is in etc, common sense nubcake!

$7635216315763515351263516 is easier to identify as currency than 7635216315763515351263516$.

Rounding up and down has been explained by others earlier.

About the 'you' thing, it's invented that way and it kind of looks more pleasing than simply 'u', the letter 'I' has sole rights on this, and it's just 3 freaking letters man! And how would you like to spell 'you're", "u're"? It's just not right dood! It could have made a bit more sense if you just complained why Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis is spelled so long instead of complaining about a simple 'you'.

Oh, and as TrolleyDave said, lay off the green!
