No one has made an extended battery for the Switch yet to my knowledge, however there are cases with a built in powerbank that might be worth a look, I think Nyko made one.
Personally I prefer just using a regular powerbank since it can charge all my other devices too.
SOMEONE HAS DONE IT!

I also remember seeing an old tread about someone putting another battery in their switch.

I just wanted to share this silly interesting mod.

Taking generic lipo/li-ion batteries and wiring them to the battery terminals doesn't count. Of course it's possible, but it requires some electronics know how. It's not just a drop in replacement.
I don't know why he didn't go with a lipo pouch. Having that thing sticking out of the back looks so unsightly, and it for sure won't fit in a pouch. A large, thin lipo pouch wouldn't increase the thickness much, so it might still fit in many pouches and also make it more comfortable to hold.

I agree about the looks, and I just wanted to share how uhhhh creative this guys solution was. I don't think there will ever be something like the nyko battery pack for the 3DS made for the Switch, mostly because of the battery cases being a better solution.

There doesn't really need to be, because the Switch battery is connected by a cable, it's easy to solder the connector onto any lipo pouch battery.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.
