Unlock them permanently without the amiibo
Have Inkling girl, and friend let me use his Inkling boy, couldn't get squid amiibo.

Have same question for Mario Kart 8 amiibo suits.

Maybe with some Save editing you can get the special vlothes, but you can not edit the amibo, and/or change a major function of the game,

Yes, I never bothered to find the value but it's possible, will probs look into it when I'm back on my feet

Now you could probably transfer save data using SaveMii from a fully unlocked save. People thinking of starting a new save for Splatoon Pretendo this might be something to consider. Just a matter of finding the save file
