Gaming "Karaoke-izing" an MP3?

I want to strip a vocal track out of an MP3, leaving only the instruments; what program should I use for something like this?

That's quite hard to do depending on what kind of file you have to be honest, you're better off trying to find a karaoke ready version of it, or an instrumental. :/'


You can try Karafun.com , but I doubt it'll help.

that sort of thing is quite hard, one way of attempting to get rid of lyrics is to open up audacity, split the stereo tracks (has to be a stereo file! Most commercial tracks are), invert one track, then switch both channels to mono. Often sounds hollow, results may very based on how the music is compiled

I heard that this can be done with the DSi's audio editing features. Anyone got any more information/tried this yet?
